The Drift is a track written as a metaphor comparing the environmental pollution taking place on Earth to fighting with one's own family. With things like nuclear radiation in the ocean, coal ash in our air and water, and fracking, one could easily say humans have forgotten their origins. Human beings are a part of an interconnected web of life. All species from all regions of the Earth depend on each other to maintain balance. So just as one may fight with their brothers, sisters, and parents, humans also can fight with the larger, Earth-bound family that makes up our planet's biosphere. What steps can we take to treat each other better?
